From the editors...

I'm Barbara, responsible for the website and technical aspects, and I apologize to those who might have tried to publish and not gotten in. I've got the glitch fixed now.

Freckles to Wrinkles is out and, if I do say so myself, fabulous! We're getting them to the authors and you should have yours within a few days. Now we are working with other submissions received for Freckles to Wrinkles on the third anthology, This Path

If you're an author published in either Silver Boomers or Freckles to Wrinkles, email us at SilverBoomerBooks@gmail.com and ask us to add your blogger identity to the list for this blog.

Thanks for taking this wild ride with us!

Hello

Tried posting earlier and it wouldn't go through, so I hope this is the only post. I just want to say how pleased I am to be part of the Silver Boomers community. Age has its perks. I'm looking forward to receiving my author copy of the new book

Hello

This is my first Silver Boomers post. I'm thrilled to be included in the new anthology--makes it more fun to be part of the "wrinkles" set. Looking forward to receiving my author copy.

Checking the Mail

I just checked out Silver Boomers over at Amazon.com! There's nothing like seeing a listing at Amazon.com to make my writer's heart flutter.

And I just had a great idea. I think I'll talk to the editor at Our Town. I write a column for the magazine, as well as an occasional feature. I'm thinking an interview about a new book featuring a ton of talented baby boomers would be a good fit for this magazine. Especially if one of the boomers happened to be his very own columnist!

I have a feeling he'll go for it. Meanwhile, I'll be checking the mail for my Silver Boomers copy. Can't wait!

A Loss in the Silver Boomer Community

R. Scott Comegys, a Silver Boomers author from Shreveport, Louisiana, lost her mother Marilyn Driskell Comegys, part of the "greatest generation," last week and dedicates her Silver Boomers story to her mother's memory.

Scotty, our sympathy is with you and your family.

Getting to Know You

Bonus points if you recognize that as the song Anna (played by Deborah Kerr NOT Jodie Foster) warbled in "The King and I."

Of course you know it. You're a Boomer. Or at the very least, you like Boomers. Or musicals. Anyway, you're here because the Silver Boomers anthology is due to be released soon. That's why I'm here. That, and to say how much I'm looking forward to reading all the poetry and stories therein. I'm excited to be in such an accomplished company of authors!

I hope you'll take a few moments to check out Cathy C.'s Hall of Fame (www.cathychall.blogspot.com), the place where I write about the ups and downs of Finding Fame and Fortune on the Road to Publication.

Because Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey. (No bonus points if you name the group who sang that. Every Boomer knows that one).
